QUICK Recap

I know I promised an update from my summer adventures but that is not really happening yet. In short England was amazing. The study abroad part of the trip was good but the best part was making new friends and getting to really know some old friends from 4 years ago. The history is unbelievable, it makes everything here seem like nothing. Got home safe.Moved into campus apt Saturday. Did a ton of homework I didn't know I had over the summer.
Sunday, had a lovely last service in Lakewood. Worked on the homework
Monday first day of nursing school AND last first day of exercise science classes. I survived. Then got my nursing kit, full of needesl and IV and other fun stuff.
Today, wore my scrubs or just orientation stuff. I am so excited for real clinicals!! I can do this! I need to sleep if I really want to stick to my 5:20 waking up.

So, I really don't know how to make this blog work. I don't know if I should give you all a summary of my life, or just funny things that happen. Either way, my amount of posting will probably be limited, since nursing school=no life.

Quick check in

I am so sorry (Suri as it would be pronounced in a British accent) if I've disappointed you all for not keeping up on this blog like I promised. I don't know how I thought I would with out having a computure. I am borrowing a friends laptop. I have been having to keep a travel writing journal. So next week at some point I will at least put some of those pieces up.
Thanks for being so understanding!

Good bye Uncle Scott

Today I buried my uncle, literally. Although I don't think it is a Christian tradition, I think it should be. While it was difficult, it was also honoring and helped me in ways I can't come up with the words to explain right now. The day as a whole was emotional but a great experience. People made jokes about him and we shared our good memories. It made me feel kinda special to know I understood my his sense of humor, better than some. Josh told I guess one of Uncle Scotts favorite jokes, but I had never heard it. I got it right away and thought it was funny (another time I'll try to type it out). However, I guess not my brother, sister, or even Aunt who had heard it before ever understood it.I'm blessed by the support of my extended family who is all going through this together as well as my wonderful church family who have been praying and loving us through this time.

Something else that made me really sad was when I realized though how easy it is to isolate certain people, even family. I felt bad because I was apart of the people who weren't saying the nicest things about a certain person that was able to come to the funeral. But after hearing this persons brokenness I was convicted not just of my remarks for the day but for never even trying to have a relationship with this family member. Great timing, now that I won't be available to chat with family for the next three weeks since I am still going to England (Thank Jesus! The fix of my flights was free! That was all God right there!). Its been a long week, I'd love to go to sleep. But I really need to get ready to resume my trip because 1. Uncle Scott wanted me to enjoy my trip. 2. I need to be at the airport less than 12 hours. 3. I haven't packed, or know what I am going to pack-at this point it is whatever I can scrounge up (everything I was supposed to take with me, I left in NY). 4. Some items I do know I need to go the store to purchase. Eyyeeeee,

Back in Washngton

I've been keeping Psalms 34:10 close to my heart lately "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." My family has had its first family crisis. My Uncle passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon. Of all my real uncles, I would have say I was the closest to him. He was a great guy and will be missed. I'm sad that right now I can't find any pictures of me and him together, other than as a baby

My last conversation with him, was shortly before his accident. He thanked me for helping move his son, Josh, into school Syracuse , which is something I was honored to do and felt like I wasn't even useful and we ended with "I love yous" Thankfully, after the accident, I was able to stay the night with my cousin Josh at his school before catching the first flight back with him in the morning. I'm also so incredibly thankful for all the wonderful family and friends who are so supportive. They have been there for me in everyway.
The last few days have been hectic, the services are tomorrow (well today at this point). It will be a hard day for everybody. So I would appreciate everybodys prayers, especially for his wife and son. Thank you much.

Boonsville 08/22

Hi again,
So I am in Boonsville, NY (yes it is in the boonys as the name suggests, but it is very lovely).
I stopped here to help my cousin Josh more into Syracus University and to visit my Great Uncle Larry aka Uncle Bud and Aunt Joan.
It is annoying that my phone doesn't get any coverage out here and even the wifi won't work on my phone, its okay though because I don't use my phone much anyways.
I spent all yesterday traveling, I left SEATAC at 6:30, then a 2 hr layover in Pilly, then the drive out to my uncles house getting me here (East coast) at about 9pm.
Today, we drove 30 mins to the "city" because it has a walmart for my cousin to get more stuff for school. I had a great day with Josh. In a few mins I hope to go out and see the lovely stars that you can't see in Lakewood/Seattle because of the lights but also because it is typically cloudy.

Bootcamp ( I know its late) photos

Hey,
I don't really know how to use blogspot so this is going to be intersting.

So I'm about to head off on more summer adventures. I thought it be a good idea to try to explain what I've been to up to this point because its been extreamly valuable and my trip (to visit family and friends on the east coast and then going to England) will out trump my stories later.
I don't have much time now before I need to leave for the airport so I will post photos from bootcamp now {since I am not taking my computure} and continue the crazy stories later.
Enjoy for now

The Beginning

This is a new beginning for me. Spring quarter just started I decided I needed some changes. Not only am I starting a blog, I am making other changes like rearranging my room. Right now my room is in utter chaos. I am part way done rearranging since I now have a room meant for two people to myself. I tried to come up with a plan how I was going to position everything. I borrowed a tape measure and everything. But I kept changing my mind, finally I got frustrated with it so just began to move everything with out a plan. Not smart, I know. I moved the extra bed frame all the way to the closet before I figured I would have to take it apart. Its okay its an adventure. Plus its been accompanied by several episodes of Adventures in Odyssey something I have been deprived of until recently.
After this is finished my next adventure is to find a couch and end tables.
